CREDIDAM (Romanian Association For Collecting Artists Rights) is a non-profit association established in 1996. The association’s purpose is to collect and disseminate money due to Romanian and international artists coming from broadcasting their works on radio & TV, cable TV, cinemas, Hotels, restaurants, discos, concert organisers.

Appointed by law as a collecting society, the association currently counts over 13.700 members: actors, balet dancers, muziciens from all genres (pop, folk, rock, folklore or classical).

CREDIDAM is the only Romanian collecting society which is internationally affiliated via  AEPO – ARTIS (Association of European Performing Artists Organizations), SCAPR (Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights) and VRDB (Virtual Recordings Data Base).

Also, CREDIDAM is the only performing artists collecting society in Romania that has connections with international similar societies, having signed 37 bilateral agreements which are operational with countries such as: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Swiss, SUA, Spain, UK, France, The Nederlands etc.

In its 21years of activity, between 1991 and 2017, CREDIDAM has paid Romanian and international artists a total amount of  67 milion euros and paid taxes to the Romanian state of around 29 milion euros.

Nowadays, CREDIDAM is continuously expanding, the association being present on the Romanian and international market with a constant growth of its members number and of the amounts collected from music users, which are then spread to the performing artists.
