Adam Balazs is a Los Angeles and Budapest-based film composer.
To date, he scored over fourty-five films and TV series including the score for Ildiko Enyedi’s Berlinare 2017 Golden Bear-winning feature ON BODY AND SOUL, the 2017 Oscar-winner live action short, Kristof Deak’s SING, the score for THE MAN WHO WAS THURSDAY (Balazs Juszt,dir.; starring Francois Arnaud, Ana Ularu), director Virag Zomboracz’s critically acclaimed AFTERLIFE (Grand Prix – Karlovy Vary Film Festival), the score for Seth Grossman’s THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 3: REVELATIONS (Lionsgate), INNER DEMONS (IFC Midnight Films) and the multi-award winning THE ELEPHANT KING (starring Oscar-winning Ellen Burstyn and Tate Ellington, an Official Selection – Tribeca Film Festival), themes and additional music for the THE SECRET OF MOONACRE (Gabor Csupo dir.; WB UK), starring Ioan Gruffudd and Natascha McElhone).
Adam also scored and music supervised a number of highly successful international HBO European Original Programming series in Romania and Hungary including IN TREATMENT SEASONS 1-3 (aka TERÁPIA), UMBRE 1-2 and RAMAI CU MINE (in which series Adam acted as music supervisor while the band ‘byron’ wrote the score).
