He began working as a radio host during high school, being constantly surrounded by computers and music. Before iTunes existed, and Google started bringing information to everybody, he hosted at Activ FM the show ”InfoMusic”, a daily retrospection of the main musical events over the years.
In May 2004, he participated as a program director at the establishment of the first rock radio station in Romania, City FM. He promoted the Unplugged “Great Disconnect” series of concerts, initiated by City FM on March 8, 2005, when over 12 local bands – including Vița de Vie, Zob, Proconsul, Stigma, Sarmalele Reci, Vama Veche, Amara Luna – sang live for 10 hours.
Between June 2004 and September 2007, he coordinated the online activity of the radio station, the editorial content being dominated by articles about rock and pop music. He implemented the station broadcast on the Internet, during the start of online radios and blogs.
In the fall of 2010, he founded InfoMusic.ro, which is currently the most important Romanian site dedicated to music, being accessed by more than 2.3 million users in 2018. For over 8 years, alongside his marketing agency job, Ionuţ Paraschiv coordinates the daily work of the InfoMusic editorial team. For most promoters and industry communicators, the site is the main media partner on the music niche.
As a concert photographer, Ionut Paraschiv photographed hundreds of musical performances in Romania, the photo galleries being available on InfoMusic.ro.
